BC Families Day holiday – no school today.
Valentine’s Day is “Caring and Sharing Day” at JCS, and there will be a potluck lunch for each homeroom.
You are invited to join the conversation on how to enhance academic and behavioural outcomes for children at risk for a specific learning disability (e.g. dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia).
Pink Shirt Day
Today we all wear Pink Shirts with pride and place extra emphasis on getting rid of bullying once and for all!
Term 2 reports will be sent home today.
Parent-staff conferences will take place on Thursday, March 9th, from 3:30 – 7:30 pm.
Students will be in session from 8:15 am – 2:45 pm. This is a regular full session day.
Please be sure to book conferences with the staff members who work with your child, it gives you a much clearer picture than just a few words on a report card.
Thursday, March 9, 2017, is a regular school day (8:15 am – 2:45 pm). Parent-Staff conferences will begin at 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
Parent-staff conferences take place from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm (coffee break 10:00-10:15, lunch break 11:45-12:30) . We hope to see all of our parents as we meet with them to discuss their child’s progress in more detail than a written report card allows.
Sports Day today – the students and staff are divided into teams, and engage in friendly but loud activities to see who can earn the most points. One person from each team is selected to win a medal for Sportsmanship. The activities are held both indoors and outdoors, and traditionally is one of the most popular days of the school year.
