Sports Day today – the entire school is divided into 4 teams, who compete in a series of fun but sporty events, both indoors and outdoors. Fun for all!
Grade 7’s go to camp from Monday, June 18 to Wednesday, June 20. Much anticipated by all, camp is a wonderful time for good fun, good food and exciting activities.
Grades 3 – 6 participate in Mini-Camp for these 3 days.
Each day brings a different set of exciting and fun adventures, both at JCS and away.
These 3 days bring a lot of fun and excitement, and whets our appetites for summer vacation!
Half day for the students, as they will need to be back at the school for the Year-End program at 7:00 p.m. This is the final school day for the school year. Students are dismissed at 11:45 a.m., before lunch, to give the staff time to set up and decorate the gym for the grade 7 dinner.
The dinner for the grade 7’s and their guests is from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Be prepared to be amazed at the transformation of the gym! Bring your cameras!
Today, students (grades 3-5) are dismissed early at 11:45 am. No school today for the grade 7 students.
The JCS Grade 7 Leaving Ceremony and year-end program take place on Thursday evening, June 21.
The leaving ceremonies begin at 7:15 p.m. and afterwards all the students participate in presentations they have worked hard to prepare. All parents, family members, friends and acquaintances are invited, we hope you can all come and applaud the hard work of our students.
Refreshments are served afterwards, and makes for a great time to chat and make plans with your friends for the summer.
The Beauty of Generosity
“THANK YOU” seems so inadequate to express the depth of our gratitude for the generous giving James Cameron School received on Saturday evening! Over $40,000 was raised at our first Gala. There are many who deserve our thanks, and so it is with a heart full of gratitude that I pen this expression of deep thanks to everyone who helped make our Gala the roaring success that it was.To those who contributed talent, to those who contributed donations and time or money thank you! Your generosity is truly beautiful. To everyone who attended the Gala, thank you! For those of you that could not attend I have included a link to a video of our guest speaker, Greg Epp. Greg attended JCS in the 90s and gave an inspiring speech. Warm regards, Penny Shepherd-Hill, Principal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8HMF639UiU
