2022 Gala Was a HUGE Success!

The 2022 Gala was a HUGE success! We thank ALL participants for your generous support!

James Cameron School is a small school of about 42 students and 21 staff members, specializing in educating elementary school-aged children with learning disorders, primarily dyslexia. Since 1980 when the founders, Helen MacDonald and Irene Storteboom, grew a whole school from modest beginnings in a basement and only eight students, James Cameron School has provided an approach with a focus on success-oriented learning and re-integration of all its students into the regular school system when they have acquired the necessary skills. While we are located on the borders of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, we draw students from the entire Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

The funds acquired from this Gala will be helping to build a bursary fund for families in need of financial support and to expand our assistive technology programs.

The purpose of the gala was not only to celebrate our successes but also to help more students in the future. Demand for our services is growing.

Donations are still graciously accepted!
